MISSION

"PISA strives to provide a healthy and fun environment for the children of this community by building friendships, self-confidence and sportsmanship through soccer."

The Pleasure Island Soccer Association (PISA) is privately-funded, independent youth sports organization. PISA is the official soccer league of Carolina Beach area and is convenient for everyone from the middle to the south end of New Hanover County. Games and practices are played at Veterans Park by Ashley and Murray schools, and at Mike Chappell Park at Carolina Beach. No long drive to the North side of the county or across the river for practices and games.

The recreational league has co-ed teams open from age 4 to 18, as well as competitive teams called the “Hurricanes” for playing at the highest level soccer (Ages 8-18). PISA also has a weekly soccer clinic called PISA Academy with professional coaching instruction. The league continues to grow, but still provides that small-town, friendly atmosphere.  PISA continues to maintain the lowest registration fees of any area soccer league (about HALF the cost or other soccer organizations). Even with the low registrations, we provide uniforms, medals/trophies to ALL participants, and full 8-10 game season with referees.

 Though on a tight budget, we are able to give back to the community in the form of $500 donations to both Murray and Ashley soccer programs as well as donated soccer goals to Carolina Beach Elementary and Anderson Elementary. Not many youth sports organizations can say they actually give back to their community as we do. All of this is done without public funds or tax payers’ subsidies, but through responsible budgeting and staying true to our mission of providing access to a fun affordable recreation for all children and being part of our community.
