​About the Academy
Academy is open for children Kindergarten-4th Grade.
The Academy Program was founded in 2008; helping players develop the technical skills needed to advance to the next level.
Players can participate in both Recreation & Academy and/or Hurricanes & Academy PISA Academy is just 1 night/week for 8 sessions, 
Included in the Academy is professional coaching curriculum PISA Academy shirt.​​
The focus is to help players develop a more improved comfort and confidence level with the ball and with the game, in a fun and safe environment.
*All PISA Academy participants are required to bring water/sports drink, a pumped-up soccer ball, proper soccer footwear, and to dress for the weather.

Academy Coaches

Matt Sadler-Lead Academy Coach/Coordinator

Coach Matt was a four -year starter at Methodist University and was captain senior year. He spent three seasons as Men’s Assistant Coach and later became head coach at Cape Fear Community College men’s team for two years. Sadler was Conference Coach of the Year three times, NCSCA Region I Coach of the Year in 2008, and NC Coach of the Year in 2008. Holds a “B” license from the USSF.
